Every new DMK client begins with enzyme therapy. This treatment is the foundation of the DMK system and is designed to restore circulation, oxygenation and lymphatic flow within the skin.
During the treatment, the enzyme mask creates the well known plasmatic effect, where capillaries open and blood, oxygen and nutrients are delivered back into the skin. This supports detoxification, healing and skin renewal from within.

Can I have a one off treatment?
Yes, you can have one DMK enzyme facial. We recommend a chat with the team first so we can point you towards the best plan for your skin concerns and goals, which may involve one treatment or a course.
How many treatments will I need?
It varies with your skin and your goals. Some clients see results after one treatment, while others need a series to get where they want to be. A course lets you build progress that, when maintained, can last a lifetime. Be prepared that we may want to see you every week or two for six or seven treatments, then move to monthly maintenance.
What does it feel like?
Treatments are generally ninety minutes, with the most active stage being the forty five minutes under the enzyme mask. You may feel a pulsing sensation as the enzymes get to work, circulating blood and oxygen through your cells. The mask sets firm and you will feel your skin actively tightening, so talking becomes tricky and the pressure can feel unusual. Your therapist stays in the room with you the whole time. These facials are treatments in every sense of the word, designed for clients who want results.
What is the downtime?
There is usually no downtime. Skin is often tighter and brighter with a healthy glow, and the plasmatic effect has normally subsided by the time you leave. It is an active treatment, so feeling a little dry or tight after a session is normal, especially early in your journey, which is why a course matters. DMK is fully prescriptive, and we assess your skin at every visit and build on previous treatments, so each facial can feel a little different.
Are there any side effects?
Redness from the plasmatic effect can last around twenty minutes. Other side effects are rare but can include slight redness, irritation or mild itching, temporary hyperpigmentation and mild swelling for up to twenty four hours. Slight flaking, dryness or peeling may appear for up to seventy two hours after treatment, though this is unlikely.
